Oticon EduMic is a new wireless remote microphone system offering world class sound quality, ease of use, and multiple connectivity options. Designed specifically to overcome the everyday challenges of listening in the classroom, Oticon EduMic is compatible with Oticon OPN, Oticon Siya, Oticon Xceed and Oticon More hearing aids, and also with Oticon Ponto 4 BAHA and NHS Oticon Engage hearing aids.
NB. Oticon EduMic is NOT backward compatible with previous ranges Oticon wireless products not listed above. For older BAHA’s typically the compatible product is Oticon Medical Ponto Streamer. If unsure please ask!
EduMic offers:
- World class sound quality with OpenSound Navigator™ technology
- 2.4 GHz low energy Bluetooth® technology to provide long battery life and a stable signal
- Ability to link Oticon hearing aids to existing remote microphone systems like Phonak Roger systems
- Wind noise management system to help when outside
- EduMic has a europlug and a 3.5mm audio input to enable a cabled connection to many different audio devices
The Oticon EduMic ships with a UK mains charger and a separate USB to micro USB cable. Also a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, a silicone protective case and a neck lanyard (for when your clothing is too thick to attach the EduMic via its integral clip).
NB. The Oticon EduMic can be paired by the user without the intervention of a hearing specialist BUT the hearing aids MUST have at least firmware version 5.0 installed on your hearing aids. Hearing aids supplied from 2018 onwards can safely be assumed to have firmware version 5.0 or newer. If you have an older firmware version than 5.0 you will need to ask your local hearing specialist to apply the firmware upgrade (you may be charged a fee for this service). EduMic does not work with all hearing aids in the Oticon range, our suggestion is that you contact us via our webform on the Contacts page with details before purchase and we will advise accordingly.
